This book is powerful! In full transparency, I am Meghan's son. Though I lived the story she tells, I had never heard it from her perspective before. From the first page I was griped and could not put it down. I stayed up all night and read it straight through, cover to cover. There was no way not to feel the pain on the pages, tears falling as you turn each page. But the most powerful part of it is the graceful way in which she weaves in and out of her story, releasing new perspectives on how to view grief. She finds a clarity in walking through the most traumatic event of her life, losing her son, that can only be called inspiring. You may think I am biased, but I assure you I was floored by this book and that is not easy to do. If you've ever experienced the pain of loss, you need this book.

I bought this book and read it in one sitting. Amazing insight, touching and inspiring. I bought it again as a gift for a close friend who has recently lost her husband to cancer. Her thank you note said "This book is awesome! Thank you so much for giving this to me! I would like to meet this lady someday! Wow! Very enlightening!😊"

5.0 out of 5 stars Grief 101 - Pulling death from under the rug

How does a mother go on after she gets the news: "He's gone." How would one ever get over the shock of that? I don't think you ever truly do get over it. Nonetheless you have a big choice, "How am I going to live the rest of my life without that person I love so dearly?"

These are not skills we have been taught. These are not skills we develop without tremendous pain.

Meaghan, a Unity minister, shares the process and tools she used to coax herself back into living, and offers them to us as a gateway to transformational healing. This book is a gift (and will make a great gift!).
